Romantic/Drama author Danielle Steel - who would have thought! "She comes to Paris, and she literally buys everything," revealed Mr Louboutin of the author, who apparently owns more than a whopping 6,000 pairs! "Then she flies back to New York, says, 'I'm a little disappointed - there's nothing in the store,' and walks out with 80 pairs. She is super." We wish we could be super too, we think we would be if we had a credit card with super powers or unlimited credit!
However, one designer who didn't really take to Louboutin's designs was Alber Elbaz (who seems to be making all the news nowadays). The Lanvin designer had asked Mr Louboutin to design shoes for one of his early collections, and then proceeded to change them - "At the time, I thought the red sole was too strong for my collection," Elbaz told WWD. "So I painted them black - a great mistake! He almost killed me."
According to Vogue & Vanity Fair, Louboutin states that his business & profits have doubled while others have been seeing a downfall, and that, despite being known for his celebrity clients, he rarely gives shoes away - offering discount instead to his high profile fans. Ooh La La!
